Bangkok Week 786

Lucy’s slowly recovering and feeling like herself again after her hospital stay. Arlo has a great playdate with P’Kate. And we have a double milestone week: Arlo turns 3 years 10 months, while Lucy turns 1 year and 4 months old!

Since coming home from the hospital, this is pretty much how we're rolling.

It's also the 14th, and our big boy is 3 years and 10 months old today!

Lucy is trying to make her self comfortable back at home.

For example, by sitting in a box.

And Arlo is intent on learning how to read!

Our healthy boy is still well enough for swimming lessons.

Kicking with Teacher Big.

The lengths Arlo does are getting longer and longer!

Practicing his helicopter arms, and side breathing.

Back at home, honing his excavator driving skills. It requires concentration!

Smile! Happy to be home.

Oh my! Mum and Lucy have just seen a ghost!

Saturday morning: we're supposed to be meeting P'Kate and her family at the park.

One of Lucy's first times on the swings.

And she really wanted to ride this springy thing.

Driving the jet skis with utmost concentration.

Happy to be on the playground, despite the direct sun!

Finally remembering to feed the fish with the dry bread in the backpack.

But where is P'Kate after all this?

Arlo and P'Kate played so well together; they're on the same wavelength! Here, fixing the car at the mechanic.

Hmm! Where could they be hiding?

After Mum counts to 10, she's never going to find them!

... they're definitely not inside this box!

And then, hard working Arlo has another swimming lesson!

Lucy is slowly starting to feel like herself again.

In fact, she's resumed her chores already!

Lucky Arlo! Dad ordered more ice cream, at his request.

And bonus! The ice cream comes with dry ice.

Our little scientist knows exactly what happens when you add room-temperature water to dry ice.

This bicycle pinwheel was Arlo's big Decathlon purchase.

Surprise! One of the Aunties in the neighborhood just bought a bike, too! So now, Arlo has a biking pal.

There they go!

Then out came Lucy, ready to walk as well and try out her new shoes.

One new skill Lucy learned during her hospital stay: how to write with a pencil.

Oh my, it's not even 8am yet!

Quick visit to the house to check on the progress.

Still good and dusty inside, but they're making progress too.

Thursday morning, someone's up early.
