We begin this week with a studious little boy, practicing his pen control.

Back at home, Arlo is psyched to be having his very favorite type of omelette for lunch.

It's a double-header! Now it's time for Arlo's swimming lesson!

It was an exhausting morning for everyone concerned.

Uh oh! Poor Lucy is starting to feel unwell.

And so first thing Monday morning, it's a trip to the doctor's office.

Waiting patiently to see the doctor...

... and for the tests to be performed.

And waiting patiently in the lounge, while Mum and Dad have their coffee.

It's been a long morning, and someone isn't feeling well at all.

Back at home, if anything is going to cheer up the little patient, it's koalas and her big brother!

Oh dear, Lucy. Back at the doctor's office first thing Tuesday morning with an array of symptoms that are not yet subsiding.

She's owning the playground, despite feeling under-the-weather.

Poor Lucy! Having an IV needle inserted (at the same time as having her blood drawn) in anticipation of a longer stay today.

A bit stunned while waiting for her fate: what will the blood tests reveal?

Lucy's got this rocking horse figured out.

And the verdict is in: exceptionally elevated levels of CRP, and dehydration. It's a hospital stay for you, little miss, while they figure out what's really going on.

Tired, and feeling sorry for herself. And so are we.

Really can't complain about the room; if we're going to be stuck in a hospital, this is the one to be in!

Lucy can't believe it; but these hospital gowns are pretty comfy.

Wednesday morning. All told, we slept quite well, although Lucy had a massive diaper leak thanks to all the IV fluids pumped into her throughout the night.
