Bangkok Week 768

Arlo turns 3 1/2 this week! He also discovers his love of dresses, has a wonderful time at his school’s open house, and otherwise, he and his sister are both up to their normal shenanigans.

Hello and happy Friday!

Every day at pickup these days...

Arlo's decided he's going to be Chrysanthemum for book day in 2 weeks. So he's trying on Lucy's clothes to see which dresses he might borrow.

He likes the look of this one.

Mansplaining to Lucy that it's his dress and he can wear it, thank you very much.

Perfectly normal outfits here; keep walking.

The next morning, Arlo's got his heart set on wearing his Chrysanthemum dress today, too.

And so off we go, dress and all, to the Enchanted Forest morning at his school.

He wasted no time jumping in to see the bunnies.

Lucy came again this year (she also went last year, but slept through the whole thing...)

Also wasted no time finding a bright green cupcake to eat.

It's coconut ice cream for Lucy. Brr!

Annabel's older campus has a lovely butterfly house.

The butterflies were clearly told to be on their best behavior...

... and were out for all the kids to see.

There are many kinds of butterflies in there.

Like these two, having a Saturday morning chat.

Arlo took himself on a self-guided tour of the classrooms.

He was fascinated with the scale.

One day, Lucy, you'll be back in this classroom for real!

And the trampoline Arlo's been talking about in the days leading up to this event.

Lucy was pretty into it as well.

... and the floral tent... while Arlo practices his rock climbing in the background.

He made it to the top all by himself. Impressive!

No face painting for this dare-devil. But a butterfly on the arm is still okay.

It's quite the ensemble: ice cream cone in one hand, pink parasol (a.k.a. table decoration) in the other.

And climbing a few more trees before calling it a morning.

In fact, this was the tree that started it all!

Lucy made it through the morning without a nap, and she's still got energy left in her.

Sunday morning: if we're all still sleepy, why didn't we just sleep in?

...while someone else has decided to look at every book on the bookshelf.

And as you might have guessed... the balloon sadly met its demise about 5 seconds after this photo was taken.

That night, Lucy tried yellow daal... and to say it was a hit is an understatement!

Well, a tornado came through. But our tummies are full!

They can't wait for P'Noi to come back!
