What an action-packed week! Arlo’s off from school (and summer camp hasn’t started yet). So we made the most of it, since Mum’s still off work: Harborland, Kidzoona, Emma’s Cafe! Plus a trip to the dentist, an outing to the park, a swimming lesson, and many walks around the block. Time to rest now!
View fullsize

We begin this installment with a family trip to...
View fullsize

... Arlo's dentist! It's a long-overdue visit. All 20 teeth now though -- getting the most bang for our buck.
View fullsize

And of course, no visit to the hospital is complete without stopping in the mini-park.
View fullsize

Admiring the balloon dog that he got as a reward, from the dentist herself.
View fullsize

Dad and his babies, just hanging out in the mini-park enjoying the coffee and cakes.
View fullsize

And where to next?
View fullsize

"Emma's Cafe", as Arlo calls it...
View fullsize

... so that Lucy can say good-bye to one of her friends, who's moving back to the UK next week.
View fullsize

Lucy and Layla (to the left of Lucy) were born only 1 day apart!
View fullsize

And the mums, too.
View fullsize

That was a fun outing, but now she's glad to be home. Sweet smile!
View fullsize

And getting in some afternoon tummy time practice.
View fullsize

Watching as Arlo and Dad draw a face (and other decorations) on the balloon dog.
View fullsize

Hmm, I feel like we're being watched.
View fullsize

It's time for a late-afternoon walk.
View fullsize

Although it seems like this walk is more resting than it is walking.
View fullsize

Another rest.
View fullsize

And another rest! Arlo knows all the good rest stops.
View fullsize

Uh oh! What happened, Lucy? Where did all your clothes go?
View fullsize

Breaking out the bubbly that we were given when Arlo turned 1! It's been aging and cooling nicely in our fridge since then.
View fullsize

Celebrating surviving the week without K. Noi.
View fullsize

Oh my! Lucky Arlo! K. Wan brought so many new cacti for him today!
View fullsize

"Helping" her plant them.
View fullsize

Our new Saturday morning fave: running in the park!
View fullsize

And lounging Lucy is enjoying the breeze.
View fullsize

A perfect-sized park for Arlo to get out his energy. Bare-foot.
View fullsize

While Mum and Lucy just lounge around.
View fullsize

What a convenient setup.
View fullsize

Arlo brought the helicopter from Auntie Erika and Uncle Chad... but its batteries were too low.
View fullsize

Swap: it's Dad's turn with Lucy.
View fullsize

Father-daughter wefie!
View fullsize

Meanwhile, Mum and Arlo chase the helicopter around like sheepdogs.
View fullsize

Teaching Arlo all about under-hand throwing!
View fullsize

Lots of tree-hugging going on these days.
View fullsize

We spotted this blue crested lizard while he was at eye-level, but he quickly ran away from us. Very cool! (A chameleon, to Arlo.)
View fullsize

While Lucy practices her tummy time au nature...
View fullsize

... Arlo has a quick run-around the playground.
View fullsize

Huge grins coming down the slide.
View fullsize

The playground is in direct sun these days... but it does mean that he has the whole thing to himself!
View fullsize

No competition for the steering wheel, either!
View fullsize

But oh my! This calls for some cold chocolate milk!
View fullsize

Dad and the kiddos.
View fullsize

Oh! Lucy just learned something scandalous!
View fullsize

Still interested in -- but not yet swiping at -- the dangling toys.
View fullsize

Excuse me, Mum. You're encroaching on my tummy time space!
View fullsize

Arlo's graduated to stunt pilot now.
View fullsize

Sweet smile!
View fullsize

Story and milk time for the boys.
View fullsize

Wait, was that a serious moment?
View fullsize

Thumb's in place; get cozy!
View fullsize

Starting Sunday in style: Dad's trying his mouth at the snot sucker.
View fullsize

What a sunny personality today.
View fullsize

Meanwhile, this goofball is really excited that his tractor (I mean, skidsteer) is doing a hand-stand!
View fullsize

Where's everyone going on a Sunday morning?
View fullsize

To Arlo's swimming lesson!
View fullsize

Lucy and Dad have come along to watch this week! You know what that means? Photos!
View fullsize

Sometime soon, Arlo's going to be too heavy for this welcome song!
View fullsize

Warming up on the motor boat. We haven't used this in a while!
View fullsize

And enjoying the ride on the big mat.
View fullsize

Swimming to Mum.
View fullsize

Synchronized jumping!
View fullsize

Back at home, Lucy's getting some exercise, too.
View fullsize

Arlo came over to help...
View fullsize

... and was thrilled when Lucy grabbed the tractor! (Can she play with him now?)
View fullsize

Look! We hung up Arlo's school artwork! (And then it fell down, and hasn't been rehung since.)
View fullsize

Showing off his very stylish bed head!
View fullsize

Another late-afternoon walk; another rest break at Onion cafe.
View fullsize

And resting back at home, too.
View fullsize

Everyone (except poor Lucy) enjoying a dinner of gourmet grilled cheese.
View fullsize

Cheddar and caramelized onion on grilled brioche, to be exact.
View fullsize

Except Arlo. He gets mozzarella. And no onions.
View fullsize

It's Monday morning. The first day of 5 where Arlo's staying home! Oh no!
View fullsize

Let's turn this into an opportunity! It's an exclusive morning out for Arlo and Mum, together at Harborland!
View fullsize

Arlo discovers the wonders of the Ball Pit!
View fullsize

You wouldn't know it from this photo, but the ball pit was one of his favorite parts of Harborland!
View fullsize

I guess this is the inverse of the ball pit! It was not a success.
View fullsize

The climbing apparatus is really very impressive.
View fullsize

These photos only capture a subset of it!
View fullsize

Arlo was a good sport. He didn't hesitate to climb up and into the structure.
View fullsize

This was one of the harder obstacles he tried (with some coercion).
View fullsize

Tricky even for me! It's slippery rope, on a (fairly sharp) incline!
View fullsize

And we came upon some giant donuts.
View fullsize

And crawled through some tubes.
View fullsize

This roller slide was fun. It helped that we could both sit on the same sled.
View fullsize

Here we go!
View fullsize

Holding hands while we try a much taller slide. (It was fast!)
View fullsize

Oh my! And we found a glowing ball pit.
View fullsize

Look! The lights change color!
View fullsize

Again: enjoying it, despite the expression.
View fullsize

Managed to climb up this incline; but needed some help when he reached the top.
View fullsize

Uh oh. A giant Corona Virus?
View fullsize

The biggest slide of the day for us.
View fullsize

"Taking a rest."
View fullsize

After lots of climbing and clamoring around, it's time for some peddling!
View fullsize

There were an assortment of tricycles, and Arlo found several that he could pedal comfortably.
View fullsize

Despite not having pedals, this one was a hit because of its steering wheel.
View fullsize

And these self-propelling cars were fun...
View fullsize

... fun for all ages!
View fullsize

We even got to play soccer and basketball!
View fullsize

But oh! What's this? Trains!
View fullsize

Arlo even got to drive a train!
View fullsize

And a crane...
View fullsize

... and oh my! A whole fleet of construction vehicles!
View fullsize

It's decided! Harborland is great!
View fullsize

So many new vehicle-related toys to inspect and play with.
View fullsize

Look at this fleet! They even have road rollers!
View fullsize

Filling up the dump truck with... even more vehicles!
View fullsize

Well, he's made himself at home!
View fullsize

Bathroom break! Despite the body language, he was thrilled to get to wear these yellow duck crocs.
View fullsize

And doing some quick cooking before we head out.
View fullsize

Fetching the veggies!
View fullsize

And trying out the "agility" area. He made it once around on the balance beam, not bad.
View fullsize

Back at home, Lucy is having an enjoyable day.
View fullsize

Her arms and neck are getting strong!
View fullsize

Watching big brother play with his marble run.
View fullsize

And relaxing after her tummy exercises.
View fullsize

Here's Arlo -- never one to miss out on crashing a mat session.
View fullsize

"Look! Lucy's holding my hand!"
View fullsize

Good morning, Tuesday! Lucy's sporting a flattering black striped shirt today.
View fullsize

And getting in her exercise nice and early.
View fullsize

Here comes Arlo, zooming into view with his duck boat. It won't be long until Lucy can play, too!
View fullsize

Trying to distract with some art time; this is a big wheel!
View fullsize

Arlo has found a new pastime: cleaning his airplane. After exhausting all the top-facing surfaces, he's getting the wheels too.
View fullsize

Afternoon exercises now.
View fullsize

Arlo has forgotten much of his Thai alphabet. So he needs to study up again!
View fullsize

Late afternoon walk: this is the way to do it!
View fullsize

Hmm. I'm not sure Arlo's the one who needs this rest break!
View fullsize

Attempting to arrange a portrait photo here. Everyone's cooperating.
View fullsize

Aww. Well, that's a nice hug for Lucy.
View fullsize

Flying the airplane that Yaa used to send fruit and food to us the other day!
View fullsize

Oh! What does Wednesday have in store?
View fullsize

It's another trip to...
View fullsize

... Emma's cafe!
View fullsize

Lucy's here for "glow bugs" and baby massage.
View fullsize

And Arlo's here to help tidy up downstairs.
View fullsize

By the end of the morning, there were lots of (real) crumbs to be swept up!
View fullsize

Shh! Don't tell Arlo! Lucy's playing with his cement mixer, while he naps.
View fullsize

Enjoying some of the Thai snacks that Yaa sent.
View fullsize

The next morning, Arlo mimics what he sees Mum doing: pumps milk!
View fullsize

And then practices nursing his baby.
View fullsize

Sitting nicely with baby on his lap.
View fullsize

And Oh.My.Goodness! Stop the presses! *Another* cactus flower!
View fullsize

Needless to say, someone was over-the-moon!
View fullsize

To book-end his week off, we spent Thursday morning at Kidzoona -- another play space in Gateway.
View fullsize

This one is smaller, and has a different assortment of activities. This boy made a beeline for the car...
View fullsize

... which he drove straight into the grocery store.
View fullsize

He found a fire truck, with working sirens...
View fullsize

... and a police car, too. (Also with loud sirens.)
View fullsize

We're probably not meant to be driving in this "learning" area... but that doesn't stop Arlo!
View fullsize

He was very interested in this pin art board.
View fullsize

And studied how it worked.
View fullsize

Fine-tuning his art by the individual pin.
View fullsize

Did you know that the post-office has a drive-thru service?
View fullsize

And measuring his height at the doctor's office.
View fullsize

Sitting down for some cake at the bakery.
View fullsize

Mask down to enjoy the cake!
View fullsize

And scooping ice cream at the ice cream parlor.
View fullsize

Cashing out for the day already.
View fullsize

Taking a trike for a spin.
View fullsize

He was a good sport, but the roads were more cluttered (with trikes and other obstacles) than at Harborland the other day.
View fullsize

And here's the Raison d'Etre; the piece de resistance; the crown jewel of Kidzoona. The ball pit!
View fullsize

It took him a little while to warm up to it...
View fullsize

...and wanted Mum to accompany him everywhere at first...
View fullsize

... but he quickly realized the purpose of ball pits: to hide under the balls!
View fullsize

These balls are nice and deep, too.
View fullsize

Uh oh! Where's Arlo?
View fullsize

I thought we came here together...
View fullsize

... but I can't find him now! All I can see are balls.
View fullsize

Hanging from the playground.
View fullsize

Hurling himself into the balls...
View fullsize

... and walking the perimeter to scope out the best place to jump.
View fullsize

He certainly made himself at home.
View fullsize

Surfing on the balls...
View fullsize

... and rolling them up the slide.
View fullsize

A meager attempt at scaling the wall.
View fullsize

But really, this is what it's all about!
View fullsize

Oh no, I lost him again!
View fullsize

After upping his energy levels in the ball pit, he was ready to enjoy the inflatable running track.
View fullsize

You can get some good airtime on here!
View fullsize

He was even up for scaling the inflatable ladder and coming down the slide. (I imagine this is what evacuating via an aircraft slide is like...)
View fullsize

And winding down with some trains...
View fullsize

... and some kinetic sand.
View fullsize

Despite 2 hours of play, we still had to stop at these coin-operated cars outside and sit in 3 of them.
View fullsize

This is a premium race car; its wheels actually spin.
View fullsize

And a souped-up police car, ready for the chase!
View fullsize

Lucy's all smiles; she enjoyed a peaceful, quiet morning to herself.
