Oh no, is it our last week in Toronto already? It’s a week of skidsteers, animals (at the farm and at the zoo), great weather, and family.
And then, it’s a 24-hour journey ✈️ back to Bangkok via Taipei. But you know, it’s really not all that bad. Definitely easier than the way over!

Despite the late night, Lucy is up and ready to continue the party the next morning!
View fullsize

Saying goodbye to Uncle Chad before he heads back to Guelph.
View fullsize

We're here for Riverdale Farm, but oh, what a nice skidsteer we see on the way.
View fullsize

And my, what giant sunflowers!
View fullsize

Aha! Now we know where sunflower seeds come from!
View fullsize

The famed piggies.
View fullsize

The splash pool in Riverdale Park was too tempting for Arlo, so in he went...
View fullsize

... followed by Lucy, and therefore Mum, too.
View fullsize

This water is icy! Not for the faint-hearted!
View fullsize

Nothing like a frozen popsicle to warm you up after splashing in ice water.
View fullsize

Late afternoon activity: checking out the road resurfacing equipment on Palmerston just south of bloor.
View fullsize

Stopping on the way home to take Grandpa through the maze.
View fullsize

Arlo's been itching to eat his ring pop (from the wedding) and finally, the time has come!
View fullsize

Enjoying the Wave Deck down on the waterfront.
View fullsize

Determination will get Arlo through most obstacles.
View fullsize

Mum's colleague Julie shows Arlo the very cool Fire Rescue boat.
View fullsize

Having a little fun at the expense of the (novel, new) Canada Geese.
View fullsize

The HTO Beach was nice, but HOT HOT HOT!
View fullsize

Arlo's first ever attempt at drinking from a water fountain (which was stuck on...)
View fullsize

Arlo was given a very thoughtful gift from Kurt & Dale, and is working hard on putting it together.
View fullsize

A veterinary truck!
View fullsize

If the croc fits, wear it!
View fullsize

Our zoo day is off to a great start, with a skidsteer zipping around Granny & Grandpa's block.
View fullsize

First up at the zoo: a carousel!
View fullsize

The jellyfish were impressive.
View fullsize

This komodo dragon was pretty exciting, too.
View fullsize

A beautiful female tiger.
View fullsize

These camels seemed totally indifferent to being there.
View fullsize

A very cute polar bear, showing off his backflips.
View fullsize

Finally with the lollipop he'd been eyeing all day.
View fullsize

The moment he's been waiting for! Standing with the zebras (albeit far away), wearing his zebra shirt!
View fullsize

Stones, or rhinos?
View fullsize

The 8th orangutan.
View fullsize

Last stop: the giant splashpad.
View fullsize

Wet and exhausted: it's time to head home!
View fullsize

Coming out the next morning to check out the construction down the street.
View fullsize

You certainly can't get this close to a skidsteer in Bangkok!
View fullsize

Back to Playground #3 with Auntie Julia this time.
View fullsize

We ain't leaving this country until I've figured out this board!
View fullsize

Everyone loves the swings.
View fullsize

Dinner with the Toronto Tomczaks (ex- the bride & groom). Delish Chinese, too.
View fullsize

Encore of the YMCA from the wedding.
View fullsize

Grandpa's got his dancing shoes on now.
View fullsize

What's this!? Another tot in a pot?
View fullsize

Last breakfast in Toronto! (Aww, already!?) Get your fill of grapefruit, Arlo!
View fullsize

This was a cute photo op at the time, but it turned out to be the last time that hat was at home on Euclid!
View fullsize

It's a lovely day to visit The Beaches.
View fullsize

Collecting the smooth, smooth stones.
View fullsize

And skipping stones with Dad.
View fullsize

Lunch time for Arlo and Lucy, in the beautiful Kew Gardens.
View fullsize

This photo is of significance: it's the last photo we have of the red hat! (Bottom LH corner.)
View fullsize

A very important warning, at the fries stand.
View fullsize

You may worry that so much choice is overwhelming! But no, Arlo hones in on the blue!
View fullsize

Laser focused.
View fullsize

Lucy, meanwhile, is left to share with the adults today.
View fullsize

But that doesn't stop her!
View fullsize

As you'd expect! Thank you for the "lunch", Grandpa!
View fullsize

Just relaxing on the veranda, enjoying the last afternoon of Toronto summer.
View fullsize

The Last Supper 😭
View fullsize

A midnight farewell at Pearson. Thank you for everything, Grann & Grandpa. And see you at Christmas! But now, wish us luck!
View fullsize

The nice thing about flying out at 2am is that the airport is dead empty.
View fullsize

Settling into our Premium Economy seats. Ain't to shabby!
View fullsize

Wasting no time working on the giant red ant that the airline gave him.
View fullsize

Getting a few Zzz's at least.
View fullsize

The cookies that got us through the trip!
View fullsize

We made it to Tai-one!
View fullsize

Having a grand time in the lounge changing room. Wardrobe change for everyone!
View fullsize

Strawberry yoghurt...
View fullsize

... followed by ice cream, for breakfast for Arlo!
View fullsize

And Lucy enjoyed her ice.
View fullsize

What's this train doing in the terminal building!?
View fullsize

We found a quiet, quiet corner of the terminal (thanks to construction, so the gates are closed). Great place for plane-spotting (and car-spotting).
View fullsize

And burning energy walking against the moving sidewalk.
View fullsize

Nice nice, water bufffalo!
View fullsize

Okay team, last leg -- we can do this!
View fullsize

Arlo got a new set of magnets. Don't lose any this time, Arlo!
View fullsize

There's no place Lucy can't climb!
View fullsize

We made it, and so did our things! Phew!
