Arlo and Lucy run in their first ever race. We have a lovely Sunday brunch with old friends Sally & Douglas. And an unprecedented 3 cactuses bloomed on the same day! Quick — buy lottery tickets!

It's Friday, but today only Arlo is at school, while Lucy is home recovering from a high fever.

Nothing like a bathtub bath to cheer everyone up.

Lucy has figured out that she can lie down in the tub.

And it's the (early) morning we've been waiting for: The Rainbow Room Fun Run.

It's an annual fundraiser for the Rainbow Room Foundation: a Neurodiversity Awareness Center.

And the best part? Ice cream for breakfast!

There was a short puppet show...

... before the 50m fun-run race commenced!

The first heat was Lucy's... but it turned into Dad's!

Next up, the 5+ group.

A bit late out of the gate, but not slow.

The St. Andrews' house mascots came to cheer on the crowds.

Lucy really liked this bunny.

Lucy was quite obsessed with this bear, who kindly gave her a hug before we left for home.

It was an early start to the day, so we still have a whole morning at home.

Basketball and running races for Lucy.

And Arlo still had enough energy for his swimming.

Sunday lunch at Sally & Douglas's house.

Arlo couldn't believe there was chocolate chip bread for lunch.

They'd also never seen a record player before.

Douglas read the group a story before we left for home.

And Lucy got a cool new t-shirt upgrade from Teacher Sara!

Arlo got an early birthday present from Sally & Douglas, so we had to come home and assemble it right away!

Monday, and Lucy is feeling herself again and back at school.

Lucy is firmly part of the morning swing club at Arlo's school.
