Bangkok Week 806 — Mika's Photos

It was a busy week! We went to a birthday party (the signature piñata party!); hosted two of Arlo’s school friends over for a play date; celebrated Thai Father’s Day; went to a new bike park; checked in on the house; and got the car all ready for Christmas. Phew!

It's Friday, so it's swimming.

It's also December 1st, so that means start of the advent calendar!

In fact, she applied the paint to her face like sunscreen.

It's the first year that Arlo's had the courage or interest to climb this thing.

I must say, Lucy was impressive in her own right.

Next year, Arlo will be at the top.

Lucy's first time in a sandbox. She left absolutely coated in sand. Rather like a breaded fish fillet.

The children are gone, but I feel awfully full. Better sleep it off.

And then came Arlo's school friends, Martin, Brooklyn, and his younger brother Boss.

It was about as fun and chaotic as you'd expect.

Boss is about 9 months older than Lucy.

Martin's family brought a toy raffle with them. So the kids are lining up to draw a number out of a hat.

This is where Arlo and Lucy's new ukulele came from!

Arlo made sure to get a good look at their Tesla before saying good-bye.

Our car is all ready for the holiday season now, too!

We had a parent-teacher conference on Monday morning, so Mum got to spend a few minutes with Arlo before class started.

We salvaged the giant mirror that used to be hung in the big room, and have mounted it in the office.

The ground floor bathroom is coming along.

And the scaffolding to paint the exterior is still up.

At long last, visiting the Happy Healthy Bike Lane at Suvarnabhumi.

Lucy waited patiently while Arlo tried out the course for pedal bikes.

She was more interested in the airplanes flying overhead.

Now over to the balance bike zone. Watch out for this serious biker chick.

Arlo rented a large balance bike, and was off to the races.
