Bangkok Week 780 — Mika's Photos

Here comes Lucy, zooming into another week!

Aaaand here she is, sound asleep, while she should be on her way to swimming right now!

After a rude awakening, here we are at swimming. Ready to jump, Lucy?

Maybe by the time the lesson is over, she'll be awake.

Speaking of her brother: he has another after school make-up lesson today.

And after that, he swung around to the new house with Dad, to check on the progress.

Most of the ground floor demolition is done.

Back at home, Lucy's caught red-handed trying to head upstairs... and she's got some work to do on her poker face.

She wastes no time climbing into her brother's bed, whenever she goes into his room.

Saturday morning brekkie, before hitting the road.

Delicious peanut butter, straight up! Yum!

They couldn't wait to get into the car: 2 kiddos, 2 koalas. That's everything we need!

Lucy's made a new friend, who doesn't mind being groped in the face.

And Arlo bears a striking resemblance to this boy.

Traffic was bad, so we diverted through much of Chantaburi. Here's the clock tower of Tha Mai district.

I am not sure that these narrow one-way sois through old wooden homes actually saved time. But they were cute.

And if nothing else, we ended up on Runway 35 of the Thai Mai Airport!

We finally made it to Trat! And kind Uncle Top had new toys waiting for both Lucy and Arlo.

Arlo's overjoyed with his new, remote-controlled digger!

And getting to ride the tricycle for the first time in some months.

Yaa got stacking rings for Lucy...

... which are also perfect for biting.

After observing her brother for a few minutes, Lucy is pretty sure she can ride this tricycle, too! Mirror check!

... and hanging out on the couch with Puu.

Unfortunately, Lucy's koala (and car seat) had a bit of a rough trip. At least they're nice and clean now!

Why, it's Bella!

Arlo spotted a watering can... and knew exactly what to do with it (even if the plants didn't need any water!)

Lucy wanted to splash in the water. Even though we didn't bring the wading pool, there was a good backup on hand.

Fun with water! (Lucy can pour cups of water onto her own head now.)

And this is a first, thanks to Yaa: fresh corn in the bath!

Arlo brought his bike, which turned out to be a great idea.

And Lucy just followed poor Bella every which way.

Oh! Looks like someone wants to go back to Bangkok!

It's Arlo's first time driving a giant "two row" commuter truck.

Riding the Japanese "golf cart fire engine," as Arlo calls it.

This stretch Vespa comfortably fits the whole family.

Back at our parking spot, Arlo drives a classic tuk tuk, with one passenger who doesn't have any money to pay.

We made it home! And poor Lucy needed a bath ASAP, thanks to her car sickness.

A little later, Dad's entertaining both Lucy...

... and Arlo, on a bicycle ride around the neighborhood.

Mum was inside, cooking up dinner.

Lucy liked the spaghetti, but didn't at all care for the sauce.

Someone's happy to be home, and have all her toys back.

Monday morning, Arlo's figuring out how to whistle!
