And for another surprise treat, the baby goats were out of their enclosure and allowed to walk around freely!

At New Year's Eve dinner, we finally use the Christmas Crackers we forgot about last week. Arlo's been looking forward to this moment, but it's Grandpa who's really into it!

Benjakitti Forest Park, where we haven't been in almost half a year.

Like last time, Arlo was really keen to push his sister in her stroller.

But since we were last here (in ~July), they have opened up the remainder of the elevated walkways in the park's north-western corner.

So there's lots of space, and many paths, to walk now.

Lucy's sitting up the whole time, but there aren't as many people to see around here as in other parks.

This is what Arlo came for: rolling beads of water in the lotus leaves.

It's still super interesting... but this time, the water is collecting mud and dirt. It's a brown bead now!

Monday, January 2nd... the holidays continue, with a lieu day for New Years Day.

Arlo is telling Granny the time in a very animated way, using his new clock.

Mum, Arlo, and Grandpa made the trip up to the National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force.

Right next to the entrance, however, were these cannons on wheels*... which captured Arlo's attention right away.

Arlo would have been content sitting here all morning, driving the cannon.

In fact, two people can drive it at once!

Concentrating hard on his target.

This time, riding with Mum.

Operating the crank and the steering wheel (?) at the same time.

He's a pro now.

At Grandpa's insistence, we finally move on to look at some airplanes. Here, moving the horizontal stabilizer up and down.

This plane has a nose propeller just like Arlo's playmobil one.

Learning that most aircract tuck their wheels up into a wheel well once in flight.

This was a fun visit!

Shh. On the way out, we peeked into a plane that was probably not on display yet (in need of some serious refurbishment). But that didn't stop Arlo from taking a seat.
