It’s a milestone week for our little Baby Arlo: he starts school! Cross fingers that it’ll stay open all term. He did really well all week! And as a bonus, swimming resumed, too!

We forgot to include these photos in last week's album! Arlo's trying his hand at painting with something other than brushes.
View fullsize
Stamps are fun, too! Not bad, for home-made.
View fullsize
Munching on deep-fried tofu chips, and enjoying an evening story. Guiltily.
View fullsize
Good Friday morning! It's the last day of the Holidays, and everyone's in their stripey best.
View fullsize
Arlo's trying all the different ways he can lie like Bella.
View fullsize
Arlo's new favorite books are the Curious George books that Granny brought over.
View fullsize
Splashing in his pool, for the first time in a while.
View fullsize
And Mum baked up a storm, to stock up on sweets before going back to work. (Very chewy) brownies, and (not so crumbly) apple crumble.
View fullsize
Enjoying the apple crumble? Or just being a polite guest?
View fullsize
It's Arlo's first swimming class in 3 weeks! He's excited to be back!
View fullsize
One of Arlo's favorite activities is still chasing the sinker underwater.
View fullsize
The teacher took it easy this class; but Arlo seems to have gotten more comfortable floating on his back during the time-off.
View fullsize
Meanwhile, the new Japanese restaurant around the corner is almost ready to open!
View fullsize
Arlo still enjoys his walks around the neighborhood with Mum & Dad.
View fullsize
Who needs Mum & Dad? Arlo can take himself for a walk!
View fullsize
Resting and enjoying a book, at the end of a busy day.
View fullsize
Sunday morning: our opportunity to go to the park / playground.
View fullsize
Arlo's getting better on his scooter...
View fullsize
But he's still easily distracted by everything around him. Like, everything.
View fullsize
Are you striking a modeling pose, Arlo?
View fullsize
These slides are too slow for sliding, but they're just right for climbing!
View fullsize
I think I know why Arlo's taken to Curious George so much!
View fullsize
Deciding whether he wants to go up. There are a lot of kids up there!
View fullsize
The poor sunflowers are still out, but look like they regret their name. No water in a while?
View fullsize
Taking a rest from the sun, and watching a volleyball game.
View fullsize
Last stop before the car: the skate park!
View fullsize
It's great to go mid-day; there's no one else in here!
View fullsize
Attempting to go down a small hill, with Dad's help.
View fullsize
Banpuku Yokocho (featuring Izakaya street food), all lit up at night. Let's go!
View fullsize
Monday morning! Arlo's last weekday at home before school starts.
View fullsize
Drawing up a masterpiece! Mum will have new art in her office, for the new year.
View fullsize
And the big day is here! Arlo starts school today! Off we go, making this a family affair.
View fullsize
We're here! Is Arlo ready?
View fullsize
Looks like Arlo's ready.
View fullsize
And in he goes!
View fullsize
Mum and Dad stuck around for ~15 minutes, before handing Arlo over to the staff.
View fullsize
Arlo's a bit tall for this coloring house. (But it is neat.)
View fullsize
And the teacher shared a few photos of Arlo's first day, after we left.
View fullsize
He only stayed until 11am, but it was a success!
View fullsize
And before we know it, it's time to go home!
View fullsize
Meanwhile, Bella got a new bed. But Arlo's having none of that.
View fullsize
Okay, Arlo's welcome to sleep here tonight!
View fullsize
There we go, Bella's bed!
View fullsize
Back at school for his first "full day" (i.e. until 12:15pm).
View fullsize
He's seems to be getting used to it.
View fullsize
And didn't mind when Mum said good-bye.
View fullsize
And one photo shared by Arlo's teacher: snack time!
View fullsize
A stand-off with his frenemy, the Kangaroo.
View fullsize
And back again on Thursday morning.
View fullsize
This time, we only stayed for a few short minutes before saying good-bye. He's been pretty good this week!
View fullsize
Coming out onto the street to see The Moon (TM) at night! (It's too far back to see from the balcony now.)
View fullsize
And we end this week with a bowl full of Japanese melon sprouts. Fruit salad, anyone?
