Bangkok Week 850 — Mika's Photos

It’s a long and busy week! At school, there was a charity event; pancakes and maple syrup as part of Breakfasts of the World; a new passport for Arlo; a visa renewal for Mum; Lumpini Park; and someone’s 40th birthday… I think we need a rest after this week!

Welcome back! This morning, Lucy is modeling the Canada Day activity for this year.

We're bringing it to school today so that the school can help prepare the materials.

But first! The Annabel's Charity Fun Fair, to fundraise for the floods in the north.

Arlo's class baked cookies, and were also selling iced coffee and tea alongside them.

The K1 classes made a bunch of games to play, like this one.

Guide the wooden spoon through the track and dump them in the bowl without spilling!

Lucy had a solution of her own: pull the spoon out entirely and just carry it over to the bowl.

Fishing for frogs with a tissue net.

And an obstacle course.

Toward the end, Arlo helped Teacher Selly sell the coffee and cookies.

And last but not least, giving Trins his (slightly belated) birthday present.

After all the fun on Arlo's side, Lucy didn't want to go back to her school for the rest of the day.

Arlo went to rouse Lucy after her nap, and she was thrilled.

This purple plant has been with us for years -- since our time in Ari -- and this is the first time it's blooming!

We hadn't been to MBK in years. But many shops were the same - including this with the giant mango that Lucy liked.

Stopping by Lumpini Park on the way home, since we were already in the neighborhood.

After 10am, cycling is allowed.

Granny's friends were out in strength this Sunday morning. We saw over a dozen.

Arlo was really into lizard-spotting this time!

Lucy, on the other hand, was enjoying the duck boats.

This was the biggest one we saw all morning.

There's a new pump track for balance bikes at Lumpini Park now, too.

Waiting patiently while his sister played.

Dressed in patriotic outfits today for Arlo's class: we'll be doing pancakes and Canadian maple syrup!

But first: Lucy has started to enjoy the art projects set up on Arlo's side every morning.

And now, it's time for maple syrup (and pancakes).

... but eating the pancakes & syrup were the highlight.

Almost everyone came back for seconds (and thirds).

Arlo insisted on bringing "If you give a Pig a Pancake" to read with his class as well.

It's Thursday, which means Lucy's favorite shirt is clean to wear again.

Not sure where my driver's taking me, but boy is it bumpy!
